The Nidecker Supermatic is what snowboarding has been waiting for: the first universal dual-entry, automatic binding.
Many brands have tried and failed to crack the code on quick-entry bindings. Most of these systems required specific boots, many didn't work well in powder, and none of them were as comfortable and reliable as a regular two-strap binding. Nideker has spent four years developing its own solution that addresses all of these problems and is a real game changer.
The Supermatic works through a Drop In Tech activated spoiler. Simply put your foot in the back and lower the heel pedal to automatically activate the binding. That's it, you are ready to enjoy. A simple release mechanism allows for quick release. The straps are the same comfortable AuxTech design found on our traditional high-end bindings. Adjust the straps once and then lock them in place with the Locking Slap Ratchets for a perfect fit every time.
The beauty of this system is that it works with any boot from any manufacturer, and there is no complicated mechanism that can get clogged. If slope or snow conditions require it, you can even adjust it like a regular binding.
Nidecker has built the Supermatic using proven and reliable materials. The base plate is made from shatterproof glass-reinforced nylon, with a Slip-N-Grip plate that helps your fingers glide over the pad for even easier entry. Likewise, a roller has been added to the checkbook for smooth operation of the spoiler activator. Finally, the nylon Asym Hadron spoiler is designed for a perfect fit, with a responsive flex and an integrated forward lean adjuster for complete customization.
Overall, it's a medium-stiff binding that the Nidecker team has rated as the most comfortable to date. Tested on slopes, steep and deep freeride lines, and in the park, with the collaboration of riders of all types.
