In 1974, Ben Aipa, the legendary Hawaiian surfer and shaper, wrote his chapter in surfing history with the design of the 'Da Sting', a very fast turning shape he originally made for Larry Bertleman. In 1976, after two years of perfecting, the Sting appeared on the cover of Surfer Magazine under the arms of Ben and two "Stingmen" surfers with a very internalized skater style, Mark Liddell and Buttons Kaluhiokalani. According to Ben, "That cover made the Sting go viral, and it started to spread like wildfire, changing performance surfing forever."

For this reason, it was necessary to collaborate with the Aipa family to make a Carver Aipa "Da Sting" 30.75" surfskate model that achieves the same fast turning and powerful pumping maneuvers that we achieved on the asphalt in 1996. The Sugar Coat griptape shows off the classic flames blues imagined by Mark Lidell, inspired by the flames of the '57 Chevy Hot Rod, one of the surfboard designs that have gone down in history.

Available with Carver C7 shaft with spring that simulates surfing movements very well, allowing great fluidity of movement.
